Feature extraction encompasses the identification of key structural and spatial elements related to both road and rail environments. For roads, this includes curbs, edges, fences, walls, bridges, structures, and lines, along with traffic signs, lights, lamps, trees, manholes, drains, and control cabinets. For rail systems, it covers rail tracks, platforms, station buildings and footbridges, tunnels, crossings, and rail-specific equipment like axle counters, rail joints, guard rails, eurobalises, and signal equipment.

This process generates vector data that accurately represents the positions, dimensions, materials, types, and colors of these elements, tailored to specific requirements. Additionally, a detailed database can be created, featuring the specific attributes of each spatial element to support comprehensive analysis and planning.
